YNOT – Bags & Backpacks
YNOT is a small Canadian company based out of Toronto, making bags, backpacks, and accessories. Broad Street carries a range of their exta-tough Cordura pedal straps, and a number of us use their saddle rolls, both on the road and on dirt. We also carry a range of their backpacks and messenger bags, in all sorts of colours. In the middle of summer it’s easy to throw a few beverages into whatever bag is closest and head to the beach, but YNOT makes bags that will survive whatever you put them through: from a wet Victoria winter, to longer adventures into the wilderness. YNOT bags are all designed and hand made in Toronto, and come with their lifetime warranty.
YNOT – Magnetica
YNOT’s newest offering is the Magnetica. So named because it replaces traditional snap-buckles with Auto-locking magnet buckles.The magnetic buckles have a very unique feel that you should definitely come try out. They’re way more solid feeling than expected, and very quick and easy to close. Magnetica’s also have a built in zippered laptop compartment, in place of YNOT’s ‘Swoop system’ removable laptop bag.
The Magnetica comes in either a standard 1000D Cordura or waxed canvas exterior, like the one featured below. All Magnetica’s have 400D Diamond Ripstop Nylon floating separated liner (the shiny stuff). The Magnetica comes in one size: 20-26L. Like other YNOT bags, one feature that separates them from other bags is their wide, padded shoulder straps. With how much you can fit in these bags, it’s nice to spread out that load.
YNOT – Gulper
YNOT’s Gulper is available in either a flat top, or the pictured roll top closure. It comes in 2 sizes – Medium (22-30L) or Large (34-50L). It features the same 1000D Cordura external as other YNOT bags, and shares the 400D Diamond Ripstop Nylon liner with the Magnetica.
The Gulper also has several external pockets, and a elastic buckle that stretches to keep the adjustable volume bag secure no matter how full it is.
YNOT – Messenger Bag
YNOT’s classic messenger bag is offered in several sizes, from average to carry-anything crazy large. They feature the same durable 1000D Cordura as other YNOT bags, but have double layered Nylon liner inside for extra toughness. YNOT offers a range of colour options, from the Camo/Oranger-than-Orange one featured below, to black-on-black.
