Next Monday we will be finishing up our 40km no-drop group ride with some food and beers at the shop.
Join us as we watch Paris – Roubaix on the projector, from about 8:30-10pm.
As always, the ride leaves at 6:15(ish) from BSC, and covers some pretty hilly terrain. With lots of climbs, sprint points and spinning, we usually recommend a road bike, though track and single-speeds are always welcome.
Monday, March 24 saw the BSC Monday Road Ride resume for the season, with a guest appearance from Mike Whittle, our local Mavic rep.
Somewhere close to 25 riders met at the shop, and rolled out for a classic Prospect Lake, Goward, Observatory, Interurban loop, finishing back at Broad Street Cycles.
As is typical with our Monday rides, all bike types were present. From top-flight carbon race rigs, to steel 10-speeds and brakeless track bikes. Hammering ensued. Fabian crushed his way up the Observatory climb, and sunlight was soaked up. A roaring success. Following the ride, we congregated at the bike shop, conducted some beer drinking, Mavic Q&As, and watched the excellent Milan San Remo race.
Kudos to Kristoff, with all due respect to Luca Paolini’s late race efforts to secure the Katusha win.
