Bike Check: Cinelli Gazzetta
Cinelli uses Columbus CrMo steel to build up the Gazzetta with classic track geometry for a minimalist look that is just as at home on the track as it is the street. Aidan definitely had the latter in mind when he built up this killer all black Gazzetta alleycat slayer for the shop. While it looks straight forward at first glance, this Gazzetta is hiding all sorts of little details of the sort Cinelli is known for.
Cinelli has built this years version of the Gazzetta around very understated graphics
But the gloss-on-matte finish reveals subtle graphic details, like here on the seat and chain stay’s
And the tiny winged Cinelli ‘C’ that’s stamped into the dropouts of every Gazzetta
YNOT straps are made in Toronto, and tough as all get out
F. Gimondi are FSA’s track bits, named after legendary Italian cyclist Felice Gimondi, one of only five riders to have won all three Grand Tours. Polished aluminum cranks paired with black chainring and gold bolts bring a little colour to the build
Laser etched F. Gimondi brandig on the chain ring
Gloss black lettered ‘Cinelli’ is definitely more subtle than the usual in your face Cinelli graphics
Little red stars around the seat clamp to go with more gloss detailing
Flat bars give this Gazzetta an aggressive feel, while the head badge is one of the only bits of colour on the frame
